Offline vs. online mode

Offline (Local Chat) keeps everything on your device. Online Chat is optional and only runs after local PII redaction and user confirmation.

What data leaves my device?

Only the redacted prompt you approve is sent in Online Chat mode. Documents remain on your device, and citations continue to reference local sources.

Where is data stored?

Workspace data is stored locally on your device. Logs are local as well and can be cleared at any time.

Can I wipe everything?

Yes. VeriBrain includes a “delete everything” option that removes local workspaces, indexes, and logs in one step.

What is a Merkle proof?

A Merkle proof is a way to verify that a specific piece of data belongs to a larger set without revealing the entire set. In VeriBrain, it helps confirm that a cited passage matches the original source without ambiguity.
